Scenario 1:

Imagine it's March and a parent says, "Hey, is my child going to E.S.Y. this year?"

Oh no the panic sets in!

You respond "I gotta look at the data." Except your tracking system is a little dysfunctional and it might take a little longer than you'd like it too!

Scenario 2:

Imagine it's March and a parent says, "Hey, is my child going to E.S.Y. this year?"

Wow. No worry or relief, That's a great question, because you know exactly the answer since you've been tracking the data.

You respond, "Yes, the data shows regression and they qualify for Extended School Year and will inform you of the recommended time by ____ date."

OR

"No, the data shows recoupment of skills, therefore your child does not qualify for Extended School Year. This is awesome because they've made progress and retained their skills! We will continue to monitor and if we notice a drop-off, we can always suggest they attend ESY."

Which scenario would you want to be in?

With the video and resources listed above, you should be able to track your ESY data in whichever way is comfortable for you and your staff!
